Ovivo to Sell Electronics Division to Ecolab

Today is an important moment in the history of Ovivo, as we are announcing the signing of a definitive agreement to sell Ovivo’s Electronics division to Ecolab, a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services. Based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, Ecolab is traded on the New York Stock Exchange and operates in more than 170 countries with 48,000 employees.

This transaction will be a milestone in the history of Ovivo. On one side, it will open new perspectives and opportunities for the Electronics division within Ecolab. On the other side, it will be the start of a new phase of growth for Ovivo’s three other operational pillars, the Municipal/Industrial/PFAS division in North America, the Energy division and Cembrane, through acquisitions, innovation, new products commercialization and other investments for the benefit of our customers.

Following the transaction, Ovivo will continue to be 100% owned by SKion Water, who remains fully committed to supporting Ovivo’s growth with a long-term vision. This transaction will also create an opportunity to strengthen the collaboration across the SKion Water portfolio and provide a broader and more innovative offering globally.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, subject to the parties’ obtaining regulatory clearance and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
