Industrial Landfill Disposal Compliance

According to the US EPA database, “Modern landfills are well-engineered and managed facilities for the disposal of solid waste. Landfills are located, designed, operated and monitored to ensure compliance with federal regulations…Today’s landfills must meet stringent design, operation and closure requirements established under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)”.

The government established programs to manage hazardous wastes from cradle to grave. Cradle to grave regulations make an industrial user responsible for disposal, not the facility that accepts the solids.

The majority of landfills consist of three types: Municipal, Industrial or Hazardous. When deciding on a wastewater pretreatment system, an industrial user should confirm what landfill category the solid waste will fall into.

ALAR Water Treatment manufactures industrial liquid-solid separation equipment capable of producing landfill-ready solids. ALAR provides access to sludge dewatering systems that typically meet RCRA solid waste compliance regulations without further drying.
