Micro-Klean Water Recycling (General Concept)*

The Micro-Klean is designed to work in conjunction with a settling/decant application. Combining the performance of a settling tank or pit system with the Micro-Klean will provide adequate gray water quality for saw stations and clean water quality for more sensitive equipment.

The wastewater generated by the machines would drain into a customer supplied slurry trough and flow into an agitated sump pit. Particles larger than 1/8” need to be screened out prior to the pit. The sump pit would have a high-level float that will trigger a transfer pump to send the wastewater to a baffled decant/settling tank. Through use of a diffusion trough and baffle, the solids will accumulate at the tank bottom as the cleaner water cascades into a gray water supply tank. The Micro-Klean will pull solids from the tank bottom and produce filtered water that will be pumped into separate “ultra-clean” water tank to be used for sensitive machinery. This “ultra-clean” water tank will overflow into the gray water tank to help supply water to the saw station(s).

The Micro-Klean will filter the stone slurry until the solids fill each plate and frame. The solids will block any more water from passing through the filter. When the filter press is full, the operator will blow out residual moisture, open the press plates and scrape them down.

The Micro-Klean is easy to operate from start to finish. The Micro-Klean is expandable plate-n-frame filter that removes solids from stone fabrication wastewater, and produces landfill ready solids with “ultra-clean” water. The Micro-Klean includes a fully automatic open/close hydraulic ram along with a forklift-accessible solids dumpster.
